In the event of rain during your outing, rain-checks are always offered.

Guest Information

The atmosphere at Newport National is designed to be warm and welcoming. Rules are established to help assure your enjoyment of the club, not to restrict it. Members are responsible for informing their guests of the dress requirements prior to their arrival at the club. Here are a few items worth noting before your visit.

Course Attire:

Newport National asks that proper attire be worn at all times on the golf course. Proper attire includes:

A collared golf shirt
Slacks and Bermuda length shorts for men
Slacks, skirts and skorts for women
Proper head-wear (forward facing hats)
Shoes with soft spikes only

We ask you kindly leave your denim, t-shirts, tank tops, and shoes with metal spikes at home.

Management reserves the right to define “appropriate” attire. Anyone not wearing appropriate attire will be asked to purchase proper apparel in the golf shop before being given access to the golf course.

Course Guidelines:

Tee Time Bookings are available up to 7 days in advance. If you have additional players, you must call ahead & check availability.
Note: There is a 72 hour cancellation notice required. All no shows will be charged the day of play.
Food from our Grille Room may be eaten on the golf course. Food from outside of Newport National is not permitted on the golf course.

Children younger than 12 are not allowed on the golf course.
Newport National Golf Club does not allow guests to ride along. Only golfers are allowed on the golf course.

Course Rules:

U.S.G.A. Rules of Golf govern all play except where modified by local rules.
Please replace divots, rake bunkers, repair ball and spike marks on greens.
The club considers the speed of play of paramount importance and has a goal of 4 hour golf. The Ranger will ask slow players to skip open holes or request they play the course another day if unable to keep pace.
All players are requested to keep up with the group in front. If there is an open hole ahead, let faster groups go through.
Remember, 3 minutes is the time limit for searching for a lost ball.
Practicing is not allowed on the golf course.
All roads and cart paths are played as ground under repair.
Golfers are restricted from entering environmentally sensitive areas.
Play any ball as it lies near stonewalls, no relief.
Please obey all posted signs.

Newport National offers multiple tee boxes to accommodate all levels of ability. Outings are typically hosted on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays for groups of 100 or more players with either a morning or afternoon shotgun start.
